We will be attaching our elastic legs and snaps today!

Day 4: Grab your elastic lengths according to the chart on page 3 and decide if you want to do encased legs or gathered legs. Complete pages 25 & 26 for encased legs and page 28 for gathered legs.

We will be assembling our romper bodice and bottom along with our elastic leg holes.

Day 3: Let's gather our bottom pieces and complete page 21 (if making additional skirt overlay complete pages 21 - 23) I also like to take this time to place my CPSIA compliant tag.

Now let's gather!

Be sure to have a super cute - overly helpful helper nearby to keep you focused! *wink*

Gather and attach your bodice piece to your romper bottom by completing page 23 - 24!

Stay hydrated ladies! Anyone else out there that's self torturous? I will forget all about my growling stomach and parched mouth when sewing in order to finish a project - not a good idea. Then you end up all "han-gry" and can't enjoy your beautiful piece!

Finish by following the topstitching directions on page 24.

I know that was the longest 24 hours EVER to have to wait. But we're finally here and ready to get going! If you missed our post yesterday but still want to participate, it's not too late! Today we will be assembling our bodice and our strap pieces!

Day 2: Let's cut our awesome fabric choices according to our pattern pieces and measurement chart!

You will have 2 main, 2 lining, 2 romper bottoms, 2 strap pieces (remember for mine I used picot edged bias tape - yours will look different if using fabric), 2 crotch pieces for snap tape (not shown), and 2 flutter fabric strips if you chose to do flutters. Be sure to snag your elastic for the back/legs and also your snap tape if you're using it (not shown).

Follow steps on pages 10 - 13 for your straps, flutter OR plain! This little tool above sure is handy!

Now let's follow the instructions on pages 14 - 17 to put one bodice piece together.

Once you've completed those steps on the first bodice piece complete page 18 to assemble the straps to the other side of the bodice.

Look at how good this is coming along! Now onto pages 19 - 20!

I will be showing you how to create the flat bodice Shortcake with flutter straps and a snap crotch for easy diaper changing accessibility. I decided to use Riley Blakes adorable "Star Spangled" fabric as my main being that it's so close to the 4th of July! I also snagged some plaid from Hobby Lobby, eyelet for the flutters from Hobby Lobby, white for the lining, and for the straps instead of the traditional fabric I used picot edged bias tape in aqua. I love the texture it adds! Now, who's ready to ROCK & ROLL??? I know I am! Let's get this party started!

Day 1: Gather your beautiful fabric choices and print your pattern pieces out. For all my frugal ladies out there just print pages 6 - 9.
